Tinakilly House is an idylic secret hideaway set in seven acres of mature gardens overlooking the Irish Sea. Only 29 miles south of Dublin, Tinakilly is internationally renowned for its seasonal menus utilizing the very best local ingrediants, in elegant Victorian surroundings. Tinakilly was completed in 1883 for Captain Robert Halpin, Commander of the Great Eastern, the ship which laid the transatlantic telegraphic cables. Elegant antique furnishings augment the classical Victorian-Italianate architecture.

The elegant bedrooms reflect the Victorian period and also provide all modern comforts. The period rooms of the west wing feature four-poster and half tester canopy beds. In the east wing, most of the antique appointed Junior Suites and Captain Suites offer breathtaking views over the Irish Sea whilst the remainder offer sweeping views of the gardens. The award-winning kitchen team prides itself on the fine blend of modern and traditional cuisine. Fresh fish, Irish beef, game and Wicklow lamb are provided locally and Tinakilly’s own herb gardens supply the kitchen.
