Of course luxury wedding destinations like the Caribbean islands often also come with a luxury price-tag, but there are other ‘budget’ options where couples can enjoy similar weather and beautiful landscapes at a fraction of the cost. Cyprus, for example, is now a leading wedding destination, chosen by British couples who wish to take advantage of the island’s stunning views, all-day sunshine and luxury accommodation. Getting wed somewhere like Cyprus is not only cheaper than the likes of the Caribbean, but can also cost a fraction of Ireland weddings where the costs can often soar to over 20,000.
The second biggest factor when considering getting married abroad is whether or not friends and family can afford to attend, or where perhaps grand-parents are involved, are fit and well enough to travel.
